LASH & BROWS

FAQs, PRE-CARE, & POST-CARE

LASH LIFT:

THE PROCESS

Your lashes are cleansed; gel pads will be applied to your lower lashes. Your technician will choose the rod size and secure your lashes to the rod. The solution will be applied that will curl your lashes. There are two separate solutions each applied for approximately 10 min each. The rods are removed, and the tint is applied. The total procedure takes one and a half hours.

WILL IT DAMAGE MY LASHES?

No. Select a carefully trained and skilled Professional to ensure proper Lash Lift procedures are followed.

DOES IT HURT?

No, the procedure is totally painless.  You will have your eyes closed for the entire treatment and although it may feel a little strange being unable to open your eyes for this time, it offers you a chance to relax during the treatment.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

The lash lift can last 6 to 8 weeks. The average person sheds 4-5 lashes a day, so at five weeks 30 to 40 percent of those lashes will have been shed with new ones growing in their place, which is the natural growth cycle of your lashes.

For best results refrain from getting your lashes wet for 24 hours.

LASH & BROW TINTING

WHAT IS LASH & BROW TINTING?

Tinting can transform your look. Tinting is quick, easy and offers dramatic and long-lasting results you will love.

THE PROCESS
Before any dye is used, your technician will discuss your options. Depending on your hair, skin, and eye color, as well as your desired outcome.

Before tinting, a protective eye pad is applied to protect the skin, and you will need to keep your eyes closed for the entire process. The dye is brushed onto lashes and is left to process. After a suitable time, it will be wiped off and eye pads removed.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

Most eyelash tints will last between 4 to 6 weeks with the dye subtly fading until your lashes return to their natural color. Proper aftercare treatment can help make the results last longer:

Wear a hat and/or sunglasses in the sun. Strong sunlight/UV light can make the tint color fade faster.

Avoid cleansers with AHA’s or other chemical exfoliates may decrease the life of your tint. A gentle, oil-free facial cleanser or eye makeup remover is recommended. The average person sheds 4-5 lashes a day, so at five weeks 30 to 40 percent of those lashes will have been shed with new ones growing in their place, which is the natural growth cycle of your lashes.

IS IT SAFE?

At Pretty Faces – Ink, we only use the safest products and treatments, which is why we use vegan-based dyes with all-natural ingredients and no coal, tar, or other prohibited materials.

HENNA BROWS

WHAT IS IT?

Henna is a natural product that has the power to stain the skin as well as the hair. Unlike regular tints, it contains no ammonia or peroxide. It conditions the brow hairs as well as encourages new hair growth. It is also excellent for those resistant grey & white hairs

IS IT PERMANENT?

No, it’s not. It is not a tattoo, it is not invasive, it does not hurt. It simply stains the skin and tints the hair.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Like anything, results do vary, however, most of the time you can expect the skin stain to gradually fade over 7-14 days and the hair tint 4 weeks. Sometimes, the henna just doesn’t take well to certain people’s skin. Your lifestyle also plays a big part in longevity i.e. swimming, excessive sweating, using face products on the eye area, etc will all result in your henna brows fading faster than usual.

DOES HENNA LAST LONGER THAN REGULAR TINT?

For most people, the answer is yes it does. However, for some people, it’s the opposite. This is not something we can control nor guarantee. We make every effort to ensure that you do get a great result. Again, the only way to truly find out is to try it for yourself.
